Iconic bikes don’t come much more recognisable than the roaring engine and sleek looks of Harley-Davidsons’. An event we visited early this year saw a venue where enthusiasts of the brand turned out in large numbers to view brand new and vintage models, with some exhibited behind our chrome tensa barriers.

The outlet has been an expert dealer in the bikes for 90 years and celebrated with a stunning display of bikes from all the decades. The first retail premises selling Harley-Davidsons opened in Chicago in 1904, showing the long history of the brand. Called the Serial Number One, the initial plans for a bike showed a product that was more akin to a bicycle, than the large, speedy machines we associated with motorbikes today.

It didn’t take the manufacturers that long to produce fast, innovative models, which we were delighted to view when we visited the major European outlet of the bikes. Models ranged from vintage World War creations, to those made in very recent times. For this event, we installed our chrome tensa barriers, which have a polished post and blue webbing. The design is stylish and perfect when you’re looking for smart crowd control.
