Even though cardboard may look or sound fragile it can actually be extremely resistant. For years furniture has been associated with wood therefore it is hard to change the mindset that recycled objects or materials can serve well for these uses. It is possible to mould furniture of all kinds with recycled cardboard, even if you think otherwise, it is a fairly resistant material. 

Cardboard is a material made up of several layers, which gives it much more strength than paper. We can make some really interesting furniture designs, from storage objects to decorations in the home. 

Cardboard furniture must be stored away from humidity and direct contact with water. Cardboard furniture in the kitchen or bathroom is a big no go! Or if you're hosting an event outside, make sure to hire a marquee or cover to prevent your cardboard furniture from getting damaged.  

Besides the disadvantages, there are plenty of advantages to cardboard furniture! It is 100% sustainable, so no pollution to the environment, resistant, original designs, easy to renew your home or event decor. Some will say cardboard furniture lasting less time than regular furniture is a disadvantage but if you're someone who regularly enjoys changing your home decor or regularly hosts different events it’s quite a big advantage as it’s so easy to renew.
