The Basics to Planning a Bespoke Christmas Party

There is just one month until the Christmas festivities truly kick in which is why you should start planning your Christmas party now! There are a number of ways you can plan a Christmas party; many venues offer all-inclusive packages but you can also plan your very own bespoke event using various suppliers. Here are the top things to think about when planning your own bespoke Christmas party.

- Set a date
- Budget
- Source a venue
- Find suppliers
- Get confirmed numbers

1. Set a Date

Make sure you find a date that works for all of your event guests; there is no point finding suppliers if you have not yet got a confirmed date for the party. December is one of the busiest months which is why you need to make sure that people can put your date in their diary as soon as possible!

2. Keep to a Budget

Make sure you have a budget and allocate it correctly to the things you will need to purchase for the party. Remember to keep money aside for backup if you end up having to spend more than you hoped for. Things you will be spending money on include a venue, furniture, food and entertainment.

3. Source a Venue

The next major step to planning a Christmas party is to find a suitable venue that is easily accessible for all guests. Find somewhere that is affordable, local and is big enough to accommodate your guests. The style of the venue is also something that you should consider when planning for your Christmas party.

4. Find Suppliers

You will need to decide which suppliers are required for your party – will there be a 3-course meal or will the event be standing with music? You also need to consider how much of your budget you are going to assign to the theming and decoration for your event.

5. Send Out Invites

Officially invite guests to the event once it has been planned and booked. It is a good idea to give guests a deadline to RSVP so that you know confirmed numbers if food is involved. You should include the location of the event, the time, the dress code and the activities that will take place on the night, for example, an awards ceremony or a live band.
